Poly-America L.P., a leader in the highest quality polyethylene products and a national supplier of trash bags, geosynthetics, and construction film, has announced plans to locate a new manufacturing plant in Chester, S.C., that will create 400 jobs. The new plant will be called Poly-East and represents a $100 million investment by the Grand Prairie, Texas,-based company.
“We have had extremely positive experiences, and look forward to continuing to work with Chester County, the State of South Carolina, Duke Energy Carolinas, and Lancaster and Chester Railway,” said George M. Hall, Poly-America Executive Vice President. “Locating our next manufacturing and distribution facility in Chester will enable us to meet a number of our strategic logistical objectives and will facilitate us in better servicing our customers in the Southeast, Mid-Atlantic, and Northeast regions. Chester additionally offers a talented work force from which to draw the 400+ full-time employees that we expect to employ once we reach full operating capacity here.”
