Expansion Management’s editorial team continued its tradition of award-winning excellence, garnering a total of five awards this month from the Kansas City Press Club at its annual Heart of America Journalism awards dinner on June 10, 2006.
The Magazine Staff received a SILVER award in the Best Trade Publication category. This marks the third year in a row that the magazine has received a GOLD or a SILVER award in this prestigious category."
Managing Editor Ken Krizner received a SILVER award in the Best Profile category for this article, “Brunswick Boats Charts its Course From New Corporate Headquarters Location.”
Chief Editor Bill King received a SILVER award in the Best Feature Column category for his monthly “Retrograde” column. King also won a BRONZE award in the Best Editorial category for his column, “Let’s Give Poor Grandma’s Psyche a Break.”
Chief Editor Bill King and Senior Research Editor Michael Keating received an HONORABLE MENTION award in the Best Magazine Story category for the "2005 Education Quotient," the magazine’s annual ranking of more than 2,800 secondary school districts nationwide.
This year’s recognition brings to 13 the number of editorial awards Expansion Management has received from the Kansas City Press Club in the past two years.
