Expansion Management’s editorial team continued its tradition of award-winning excellence, garnering a total of 13 awards this month from the Kansas City Press Club, the Cleveland Press Club, and the American Society of Business Professional Editors (ASBPE).
Topping the list of honors was Expansion Management’s selection by the Kansas City Press Club as Trade Magazine of the Year. The Kansas City Press Club also chose our monthly newsletter, Inside E.D., as Best Newsletter, while our Web site, ExpansionManagement.com, was recognized by the Cleveland Press Club for Best Web Design.
Our special supplement magazine, “2004 Military Communities of Excellence,” won awards from both the Kansas City and Cleveland Press Clubs in the Public Service/Investigative category.
Managing Editor Ken Krizner won an award for Best Business Reporting, while Chief Editor Bill King’s monthly Retrograde column won four awards for Best Regular Column and Best Single Editorial from the Cleveland and Kansas City Press Clubs, as well as from the American Society of Business Publications Editors (ASBPE). King also won an award in the Best Magazine Story category.
Finally, Bill King and Senior Research Editor Michael Keating won awards from both the Kansas City Press Club and ASBPE for Investigative Reporting and Original Research for the annual Education Quotient report.
