Travel:

Airports: Tucson and Phoenix. You may travel into the Tucson International Airport or Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. If you fly into Phoenix you will need to rent a car for the commute to the Westin La Paloma.

Getting to the Hotel:

Taxi: will cost approximately $45 + gratuity each way.
Rental Car Agencies: located at the Tucson International Airport (hotel has complimentary self parking)
Time: Estimated time from the Tucson Airport to the Westin La Paloma is 30 minutes. Estimated time from Phoenix to the Westin La Paloma is 2 hours.

Golf: Spectacular saguaro cacti and desert wildflowers punctuate La Palomoa Country Club, situated in Tucson's majestic Santa Catalina Mountains. The magnificent high desert surrounding and stunning mountain views complement the superb amenities and service. La Palomoa Country Club is a golfer's dream. Exclusive to resort guests and club members, the 27-hole golf course surrounds the resort. Golf Digest calls it one of the "Top 75 Resort Courses" in the country. La Paloma Country Club offers a truly memorable experience.

Horse Back Trail Ride: You're in cowboy country. Do as the cowboys do, ride through desert foothills, cross washes, and get a whole new view of the Sonoran Desert. Our capable wranglers will lead you along trails pointing out the wildlife and desert landscape. So don your jeans and take a trail ride Arizona style. Guests will be picked up on the resort's front drive and transferred to the stables, then matched up with their horses based on riding experience.

Desert Jeep Tour: "Four-wheeling" is the perfect way to see the real Sonoran Desert. From the desert floor to the majestic mountains, our experienced driver guides are "outdoor" people knowledgeable in the field of native flora and fauna. Authenticity is stressed. The tour itself will take you through some of the most beautiful desert regions in all of Arizona. You will enjoy a botanical walk identifying the Arizona cacti. The desert is full of wildlife and the drivers are quick to point out any deer, jackrabbits, javelina or other wildlife that might cross your path.

Tucson Hiking Tour: The Tucson hiking tour is designed to bring you an enjoyable, informative,and invigorating wilderness experience. Through movement breathing, hiking expands your physical, emotional and spiritual selves. The guides will tell you all about the plants and animals of the unique region. They will also give you a sense of the rich heritage of the NativeAmericans and Pioneers who made the Sonoran Desert their home. Hikes conducted on Coronado National Forest property. The guides take great pride and care in sharing the canyons and mountains surrounding their desert home. We invite you to take some time to enjoy the unique desert environment.

Accommodations can be made for all fitness levels. Whether you prefer a casual nature walk to a great aerobic workout, we have the hiking experience for you! The tour guides provide a daypack, trail munchies, and a quart of spring water. There's also room for your jacket and camera. The guides recommend light weight hiking boots or running shoes with some tread. You should dress for the season and temperature change. All hiking guides are certified in American Red Cross standard first aid and CPR. Guests will be picked up on the resort's frontdrive for their hiking adventure by our professional hiking guides.
