The 53,000-square-foot facility will serve as the company’s main site for assembling production equipment used in the company’s ClearRefining process, a method for liquefaction of natural gas. The process allows for pollution-free conversion of natural gas and other biogases into ultraclean liquid motor and industrial fuels, according to ARC.

The plant employs 15 technicians, and it could grow to 50 when fully staffed, according to the company.

“We are substantially ramping up our manufacturing efforts as we near the commercial launch of our first product, GDiesel,” said Peter Gunnerman, co-founder of Advanced Refining Concepts. “Our new facility will allow us to design and test-layout an entire remote production facility, prior to physically constructing it in the field.”

The majority of the individual components that are assembled at the new plant are purchased from local Northern Nevada and Northern California suppliers. The company’s new plant also serves as an inventory warehouse for finished production equipment used for manufacturing its soon-to-be marketed fuel products, according to the company.

ARC signed a five-year lease on the new facility. The company said it also intends to use the site as the headquarters for its operations management team.
