“This is just one example of the many ways in which FedEx Express Canada continues to invest in local communities,” said Pina Starnino, vice president, operations, FedEx Express Canada. “Not only will this location provide quality service, but it will also increase operational efficiencies and, in turn, improve business in this community.”

According to FedEx Express Canada, the Peterborough facility provides express and ground transportation services, with direct highway access and improved visibility. The facility has the ability to accommodate 11 vehicles on the conveyor system and offers a courtesy phone for customers.

The Peterborough operation began in the spring of 1989 with 2,000 square feet. Volume has grown over the past 20 years, and today there are 18 employees, serving Peterborough, Cobourg, Uxbridge, Bancroft and Halliburton.
