The 50,000-square-foot facility, located in the Pinnacle Industrial Center near Dallas Love Field Airport, will cater to Bombardier’s customers across the United States as well as in Central and South America. Focusing on the repair and overhaul of structural components for nacelles, the facility’s capabilities will include support for the RB211 E4 and IAE V2500 engine ranges, according to the company.
The facility employs 16 people and is expected to grow to 60 workers over the next five years, according to Bombardier.
“Dallas affords us an excellent opportunity to extend the support we offer from our established repair and overhaul center in Belfast, by improving turnaround times and delivering optimum value to our growing customer base in the Americas,” said Michael Ryan, vice president and general manager, Bombardier Aerospace, Belfast. “Our new team of maintenance technicians will be led by managers who have gained specific product and process training at our Belfast repair facility.”
