TEAM Companies and Iowa Health System have formed TEAM Des Moines Partners LLC for the project.
TEAM data centers are built in three phases. Iowa Health System will occupy about half of phase one of the state-of-the-art data center in Waukee. The remaining space will be available for use by other companies.
The first phase of the data center is scheduled to open by the end of the year.
Iowa Health System’s critical patient and employee information will be stored in both the new center in Waukee and in one of TEAM’s other data centers located in Cedar Falls, Iowa, where TEAM Companies is based.
TEAM’s data storage services will ensure Iowa Health System will have two copies of all records 100 miles apart for redundancy and disaster recovery purposes, according to the company, which provide 24/7 data center management services based upon industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
