NCR said it will end its production in Viroqua by March 31, idling about 80 workers. Production will be moved to NCR’s plant in Morristown, Tenn., said Alan Ulman, a spokesman for the Dayton, Ohio-based company.
He said closing the Viroqua plant is part of the company’s strategy to improve productivity, efficiency and cost structure, adding that Viroqua employees will be eligible to apply for an undetermined number of new jobs in Tennessee.
