Fuel Total Systems California Corp. is a subsidiary of FTS Co. of Japan. The company anticipates construction on the facility, located on 18 acres, to be completed by the end of the year. The plant will manufacture and supply automotive fuel tank systems and related components.
The company announced its decision to locate in Kentucky following discussions with commonwealth officials during an economic development trip to Japan last year.
About 160 Japan-based facilities employ nearly 40,000 workers across Kentucky.

The Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority approved tax benefits under the Kentucky Rural Economic Development Act, an incentive program designed to attract new manufacturing employment to the commonwealth, for Fuel Total Systems.
“We are very pleased that Fuel Total Systems has chosen to locate in Lebanon and take advantage of the manufacturing-support system we have created in this community,” said Lebanon Mayor Gary Crenshaw.
