The new positions are primarily in the areas of customer service and claims processing, and they include a full-benefit package. First Administrators processes health, dental, flex, short-term disability and pharmacy benefits, and handles claims payment and administration for group employees.
Renovation of the facility, the purchase of equipment, and job training reflect a total investment of about $2.2 million, according to the company.
The city of Sioux City worked with the state of Iowa to secure the project. The company will receive state and local financial assistance of more than $1 million in withholding tax credits through the Targeted Jobs Withholding Tax Credit Program and various tax incentives for siting the project in an enterprise zone.
“We are very pleased that First Administrators has the opportunity to expand its business and increase the number of quality jobs in Sioux City,” said Mary Dougherty, director of economic development for the city.
