The company is expected to become the area’s largest private employer during the next several years, employing nearly 700 workers.
The project will benefit from a $275,000 Economic Strength Project grant awarded to the city of Douglas for the widening and reconstruction of a six-road intersection, as well as the widening of two other main thoroughfares.
This will accommodate dedicated turning lanes to ease traffic in and around Advance Call Center Technologies permanent location.
“This project will be good for the local community, and bring new jobs to southern Arizona,” said Jan Lesher, director of the Arizona Department of Commerce. “Douglas is a great location for Advanced Call Center Technologies, offering a quality work force to meet business needs and local support to make it a success.
Advance Call Center Technologies will operate out of temporary city-owned offices until its permanent facility is ready at the end of the year.
