Approximately 60 additional employees expected to be hired during the two-year period would be part of the group to be trained.
CTB's investment in machinery and training follows the completion of a 75,000 square foot expansion of its North Central Indiana facilities earlier this year. The company designs and manufactures a variety of systems and accessories for the poultry, pig, egg production and grain industries.
With more than 1,400 employees worldwide and more than 580 in Milford, CTB plans to make additional investments in manufacturing technology and to host training in computer applications, maintenance technology training and lean manufacturing techniques.
"One of CTB's core values is that 'people make the difference,' “ said Victor A. Mancinelli, president and CEO of the company. “Among the most important things we can do as we strive to serve our customers well is to be sure that our people have the best possible equipment and training.”
CTB's announcement comes shortly after Elkhart aerosol distributor Kik Inc. announced its plans to invest more than $7 million and nearly 200 jobs in Northern Indiana.
