Production has begun at the facility.
KAT’s Paris facility will provide computer numerical-control machining of aluminum, titanium, stainless steel, plastics, wood and additional materials used in the aerospace industry.
“We at KAT are very excited about opening this plant in Paris,” said Keith A. Thomas, president of KAT Manufacturing. “The friendly small town atmosphere, talented labor pool and hard working Chamber of Commerce were an immediate draw. We hope to improve the economic stability of the area and provide a positive work environment for our employees.”
KAT’s primary client is Dassault Falcon Jet in Little Rock. Other clients include Lockheed Martin and the U.S. Department of Defense.
“This is a great day for our town,” said Joe Schluterman, a member of the board of the Paris Chamber of Commerce. “We are excited about KAT Manufacturing coming to Paris and the impact that this will create for our community and the surrounding area. Paris should begin to feel the economic growth immediately and all of our citizens will benefit.”
