Damon Motor Coach has announced they have purchased a building in Elkhart, Ind., near their manufacturing campus in order to expand their manufacturing capacity.
In making the announcement, Bill Fenech, president of Damon Motor Coach, noted that the new building, which is approximately 45,000 square feet on 8 acres, will be used for future expansion of a new product line and is expected to create 75 to 100 new jobs.
"In a tough retail environment, our market share has grown for the last three years and our product offerings have also increased,” said French. “This, combined with our plans to create an entirely new product line, requires us to add capacity."
Damon Motor Coach, located in Elkhart, Ind., manufactures a full line of affordably-priced Class A motor homes, including the Essence, Astoria and Tuscany diesel pushers and the gas-powered Daybreak and Challenger, plus the popular new Outlaw Toyhauler.
Damon is a subsidiary of Thor Industries, Inc., Jackson Center, Ohio, the world’s largest manufacturer of recreation vehicles.
