CNJ Tech, Inc. recently announced plans to open its first U.S. operation in the Industrial Park in Auburn, Ala. Construction on CNJ Tech's new facility is expected to begin this month, with plans for completion in spring 2008. In this first phase, CNJ Tech's location will result in an estimated capital investment of $15.66 million and approximately 25 jobs.
CNJ Tech, Inc. is the US subsidiary of Korean-based Yangjung Industry Co., Ltd., which serves the automotive industry from several locations within Korea. The company specializes in the machining of precision parts including brake discs and knuckles.
"The City of Auburn is the best location for our first US manufacturing plant," said Mr. Gyu Yong Chung, President and CEO of CNJ Tech. "Its strategic location halfway between the Hyundai plant in Montgomery and the future Kia plant in West Point makes it the perfect fit for us. The excellent quality of life and the education system of the city of Auburn made our decision easy.”
