Nationwide Express, Inc. has opened two facilities in South Carolina, a transloading facility in Charleston and a warehousing division in Columbia. Nationwide Express, Inc. plans to invest approximately $10 million in the state and initially create 25 new jobs with 50 jobs to be added at a later date.
“The state’s infrastructure and access to markets made a decision to expand into South Carolina an easy one,” said David Coffey, President, Nationwide Express, Inc. “We anticipate future growth at both facilities to total over 250,000 square feet.”
Nationwide Express, Inc. is based in Shelbyville, Tenn. The new facilities total 70,000 square feet and will incorporate three of Nationwide’s operating divisions, including:
Nationwide Express – the truckload division serving key markets in the Southeast, Mid-Atlantic, Midwest, and Texas;
Nationwide Distribution Services – the warehousing division providing warehousing and distribution services, consolidation, repack, cross-docking, and local transportation services;
Nationwide Logistics – a third party logistics company providing domestic truck brokerage, international air and ocean transportation, container transloading and distribution, and container drayage.
