PayPal announced the official grand opening of its new technology center, PayPal Data Services, Inc., in Austin, Texas. PayPal Data Services, Inc. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of PayPal, Inc., employing technology and engineering professionals who are helping to build PayPal's global payment platform.

“PayPal is strongly committed to the Austin community, and we’re looking forward to building a long-term relationship with the city,” said Terence Spielman, director and general manager of PayPal Data Services. “We firmly believe the strong pool of talented technology professionals here in Austin will help expand the backbone of PayPal services to ensure that businesses and individuals can make secure online payments anytime and anywhere.”

The company also has locations in San Jose, Calif., Scottsdale, Ariz., the Omaha, Neb. area, and Dublin, Ireland.
