H.C. Starck Opens New Manufacturing Facility in Euclid, Ohio

EUCLID, Ohio (November 2, 2007 — The company received grants and agreements for training and capital improvements from the state of Ohio and the city of Euclid.

H.C. Starck, Inc., a worldwide manufacturer of refractory metals and fabricated products, recently opened a new facility in Euclid, Ohio. The company relocated its sites in East Rutherford, N.J. and Latrobe, Pa., to the new consolidated facility in Euclid.

“We are excited that by centralizing our customer, technical and support services, we will be able to improve the service to our customers and respond more efficiently to their needs,” said Dr. Olaf Schmidt-Park, president and CEO of H.C. Starck.

A Euclid manufacturer for 47 years, H.C. Starck is primarily involved in the manufacturing and fabrication of molybdenum, tungsten, and their alloys. These products are used in a variety of applications in medical imaging and therapy, aerospace, electronics, and industrial heating products.

The company received grants and agreements for training and capital improvements from the state of Ohio and the city of Euclid. The expansion will add up to 130 new jobs key to fostering economic growth in the community.
