Empereon to Open New Call Center in Coudersport, Pennsylvania

COUDERSPORT, Pa. (July 31, 2007) — The company received a $1 million funding offer from state of Pennsylvania, including a $450,000 Opportunity Grant, a loan of up to $350,000 through the Machinery and Equipment Loan Fund and $200,000 in Customized Job Training funds.

Empereon, a privately-held company that services major U.S. cable and broadband industries, recently announced its decision to establish its first Pennsylvania operation in Coudersport, in Potter County.

Empereon is leasing the former Time Warner and Adelphia call center on Bank Street. The 30,000 square foot facility has the capacity to house 650 employees. As part of its $1.1 million project, the company is purchasing new equipment and will use equipment that was gifted to it by Time Warner.

“We are proud and delighted to partner with the Pennsylvania Department of Economic Development by opening a new Empereon call center that brings new jobs to Coudersport,” said Empereon CEO and founder Travis Bowley. “Our employees are the backbone of Empereon’s business. The people and spirit of the Coudersport community embody all of the assets that make Empereon a leading, nationwide teleservice provider. It’s a great match, and I’m looking forward to this new Empereon facility contributing to the growth of this wonderful community and to our company’s success.”

Empereon, which expects to be operational this fall, will begin providing outbound telemarketing services, followed by inbound, customer service and technical assistance services.

The Potter County Redevelopment Authority worked with the company and the Governor’s Action team to secure a $1 million funding offer from DCED, including a $450,000 Opportunity Grant, a loan of up to $350,000 through the Machinery and Equipment Loan Fund and $200,000 in Customized Job Training funds.

Founded in 1998, Empereon is a privately held company that services major U.S. cable and broadband industries, including Charter Communications, Cox Cable, Time Warner Cable, Bright House Networks, the former Adelphia, and is currently conducting a pilot for Comcast Cable. The company also services major U.S. newspaper groups, such as The Tribune Company, Belo Corporation, The McClatchy Company and Gannet Newspapers.

Empereon’s corporate headquarters is located in Phoenix, Ariz.
