Just two years after expanding to Vermillion, S.D., Masaba Mining Equipment, a company that designs and manufactures a complete line of aggregate processing equipment, has announced that it will expand its South Dakota operations.
Since relocating from Akron, Iowa in July of 2005, Masaba Mining Equipment, Inc. has continued to experience tremendous growth, success, and increased demand for its quality products.
“We’re really excited to expand our business and be able to continue to fulfill our mission of providing the best service and manufacturing the highest quality mining, agricultural, and customized equipment on the market,” said Jerad Higman, president of Masaba. “We’ve had great partnerships and experiences in South Dakota, and specifically in Vermillion.”
The expansion will add approximately 60,000 square feet onto Masaba’s current 100,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility. Masaba currently has 60 full-time employees in Vermillion, and expects to create up to 120 additional jobs during the next several years.
