Keystone Industries, a global manufacturer and distributor of dental equipment and supplies, recently announced a $4.5 million expansion project in Lebanon County, Pennsylvania. The company will create at least 53 jobs within three years and retain 34 existing positions.

As part of its expansion project, Keystone Industries will build a 50,000 square foot manufacturing facility in Myerstown. The company will also purchase new machinery and equipment.

“This project is a great example of what can happen when government, local agencies, the community and business work together; it creates good jobs,” said Keystone Industries General Manager Otto Voit. “We selected Pennsylvania over many other states because of this partnership.”

The Lebanon Valley Economic Development Corp. worked with the Governor’s Action Team to help Keystone Industries secure a funding offer totaling more than $1.4 million from the Department of Community and Economic Development. The company is eligible to apply for as much as a $1 million grant through the Pennsylvania Industrial Development Authority, a grant of up to $250,000 through the Opportunity Grant Program and up to $159,000 in Job Creation Tax Credits.

Keystone Industries is also eligible to apply for a $2.12 million loan through the Citizens Job Bank program, which offers low-interest loans to companies that commit to creating or expanding jobs in Pennsylvania.

Created in 1908, Keystone Industries manufacturers and distributes dental products throughout the world. Its products range from abrasives, carbides, chemicals, brushes, crucibles, kiln furniture, Fleck’s cement, PIP paste and the Syrijet for the dental industry.
