Baker Hill, an Experian company and leader in banking process solutions, recently announced that it is expanding its headquarters in Carmel, Ind. The company currently employs 195 software engineers and financial professionals at its leased offices south of 131st Street along Carmel’s Meridian corridor. The expansion is expected to create more than 100 new jobs.
Baker Hill will make substantial investments to upgrade its current hardware and systems over the next three years. The company provides relationship management, credit origination and portfolio risk-management solutions to more than 1,200 financial service institutions worldwide.
“Baker Hill is expanding as a result of our talented and dedicated team’s success in providing superior value to our 1,200 plus clients,” said Joe Kuntz, president of Baker Hill. “This expansion is also a testament to Experian's commitment to our clients, employees, and to this community. We are all proud to be part of a business in Indiana that is built to last, and through which some of the best and brightest talent in the state can make a difference.”
The Indiana Economic Development Corp. offered the company $3 million in performance-based tax credits and $133,500 in training grants based on the company’s expansion plans. The City of Carmel is also expected to support personal property tax abatement valued at $216,000 over the next decade.
