Massachusetts-based Hardigg Industries will locate its newest manufacturing facility in the Mt. Comfort Commercial Park in Greenfield, Ind. Headquartered in South Deerfield, Mass., the company manufactures shipping and transit cases for military, commercial, and industrial applications. The cases protect against shock, vibration, moisture, and temperature extremes.
Initially, the company will have 30 employees, with growth projections forecasting 75 employees within four years. Average manufacturing and production wages, including benefits, range between $16 and $17.50 per hour.
The company was awarded income tax credits and training grants from the State of Indiana and tax abatement from Hancock County. The facility will serve Hardigg’s growing Midwestern customer base.
