L&D Mail Masters, a direct mail and logistics company, announced today it will expand its operations here, adding 46 new jobs and a new processing center to its 10-acre production site. The addition of the 71,000 square foot facility will increase the company’s computer-based inventory management and order fulfillment capabilities.
Started as a home-based direct mail business, L&D Mail Masters has grown to a 98-employee company that provides web-based order fulfillment, design, printing and direct mail services for companies across the country.
“It is an exciting time for L & D Mail Masters, Inc.,” said Diane Fischer, president and chief executive of L & D Mail Masters. “It has been 20 years since I started the company, and I have never felt better about my community and my state.
The Indiana Economic Development Corp. provided up to $95,500 in training grants and $64,000 in tax credits to the company based on its expansion plans. The City of New Albany provided 10 years of property tax abatement valued at $256,000.
The company plans to begin work on the $4.2 million project this month and expects to begin hiring new associates in May. This is the 7th expansion for the 20-year-old company.
