Degree Controls, Inc., a global leader of state-of-the-art thermal and airflow technologies for the electronics and telecommunications industries, recently announced that it has expanded its manufacturing capability by adding a new facility in Tecate, Mexico. The new manufacturing facility in Tecate enables more flexible and responsive supply-chain management and complements existing DegreeC facilities in China, India, Japan and the U.S.
“Our new Tecate facility allows our Global Alliance Partnership Team to accelerate time to market and improve on-time delivery,” said Jag Sisodia, DegreeC’s President and CEO. “DegreeC continues to leverage its global presence to provide competitively-priced, world-class thermal- and airflow-management solutions.”
The Tecate facility increases DegreeC’s capacity to provide services relating to all aspects of the product life cycle, including design and development engineering, quick-turn prototyping, international regulatory compliance and reliability testing.
“The Tecate facility will expand our capabilities and allow for high-quality production during ramp to volume,” said Bill Langille, DegreeC’s Vice President of Operations.
Tecate, about 40 miles east-southeast of San Diego, is home to a school of engineering for the Universidad Autonoma de Baja California.
In addition to its U.S. locations, DegreeC has facilities in India, China, Japan and Mexico. The company was founded in 1996 and has offices in Milford, N.H., and Marlborough, Mass.
