United Dairy Farmers will expand on its current distribution and warehousing facility located in Erlanger, Ky., with a new 104,000 square foot facility.

The new facility will handle regional public refrigerated warehouse services and distribution and warehousing for United Dairy Farmers. It will be built on property adjacent to United Dairy Farmers’ current 126,000 square foot location at 2825 Crescent Springs Road in Kenton County, 10 miles south of Cincinnati.

“United Dairy Farmers has a strong interest in keeping its facilities in the region where the company was founded. Northern Kentucky, with its easily accessible transportation options and dedicated, educated workforce, is a perfect location for this facility,” said Angelos Christon, United Dairy Farmers. The company currently employs 96 employees and the new facility is expected to generate 40 new jobs.

United Dairy Farmers, makers of Homemade Brand Premium Ice Cream and United Dairy Farmers Milk & Ice Cream products, is based in Cincinnati, Ohio, and has been producing frozen desserts since 1939. Homemade Brand is currently sold in retail grocery outlets in 14 Midwestern, Mid-Central, and Southeastern states and at the nearly 200 United Dairy Farmers retail stores in Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana.
