Eqos, Inc., a lprovider of on-demand global sourcing and supplier management solutions for the retail supply chain, recently announced the opening of its office in Hong Kokng. This latest investment signals its commitment to more fully supporting customers’ sourcing operations in Asia, according to the company.
Eqos brings a range of experience working in Hong Kong, along with an understanding of the region’s culture, as well as business and political climates, said Chris Foulkes, chief product officer for Eqos, who will head up the Hong Kong operations.
“As a result, Eqos is ideally positioned to capitalize on the opportunities presented by the expanding retail community in China,” he said. “Our product is proving itself in China every day. Now we have the infrastructure in place to continue to build upon the successes of our company, technology and customers.”
Eqos’ global expansion comes as more retailers establish sourcing offices and strengthen relationships with agents and strategic suppliers throughout Asia. The company’s Hong Kong office will provide retailers and their trading partners with Mandarin, Chinese and English language support, along with support across numerous time zones and geographical regions, Foulkes said.
Eqos supports customers and users in more than 40 countries worldwide, including more than 4,000 users in China. On a global basis, the company manages more than 5,000 transactions a day and 100,000 user logins a month, supporting the management of nearly $20 billion worth of inventory annually.
Eqos, which is based in Burlington, Mass., enables retailers to work collaboratively with suppliers to simplify, standardize and scale the processes associated with sourcing private label merchandise.
