Schuff International, Inc., a family of companies providing fully integrated steel construction services, recently announced that its subsidiary, Schuff Steel Co., has purchased a facility outside of Flagstaff, Ariz.

The 132,000 square foot facility is located on 15 acres in Bellemont, Ariz., which is approximately 10 miles west of Flagstaff.

“The Flagstaff facility will continue to expand Schuff’s fabrication capacity, allowing us to better service our growing customer base in the Southwest, especially the California and Las Vegas markets,” said Scott A. Schuff, CEO of Schuff International. “The new location is strategically based and complements the ability of our existing plants in Phoenix and Gilbert, Ariz., and Ottawa, Kan., to meet our customers’ needs. We hope to hire 100 Northern Arizona workers over the next year to work at the facility and we are especially appreciative of the assistance provided by the Greater Flagstaff Economic Council and the Arizona Department of Commerce.”

Schuff Steel has constructed a number of marquee projects in the Southwestern U.S., including most recently the retractable roof and field at the Arizona Cardinals Stadium in Glendale, Ariz.
