Pepsi Bottling Group to Build $101 Million Manufacturing and Distribution Facility in Las Vegas, Nevada

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (March 5, 2007) — The company was awarded $4.5 million by the NCED in business and tax incentives over the next 10 years.

The Pepsi Bottling Group, LLC, which will invest $101 million to build a 427,000 square foot manufacturing and distribution facility in Las Vegas, Nev., was awarded $4.5 million by the NCED in business and tax incentives over the next 10 years.

The Pepsi Bottling Group is involved in the manufacturing, distribution and sales of beverages, and in addition to the building, the company will add 34 full time positions with full benefits.

TEN grants are designed to help companies achieve productivity quickly in the state. Companies applying for TEN grants must supply funding for a portion of the training, which is coordinated through a community college in the state. To be considered for a grant, applicant companies must pay wages that exceed 80 percent of the statewide or county average annual hourly wage and they must provide health insurance with options for dependent coverage.
