Natural Balance Pet Foods has selected an existing 75,000 square foot building in Saluda County, S.C., for its newest distribution center. The company expects to create 15-25 new jobs over the next five years at the facility.

Founded in 1989 by Dick Van Patten and Joey Herrick, Natural Balance Pet Foods products are developed for dogs and cats, as well as large carnivores, such as lions, tigers, polar bears, and wolves in zoos and animal reserves worldwide.

“We are excited to add a new distribution center in central South Carolina and selected this location here in Saluda County based on the quality of life, the talented workforce and wonderful offerings throughout the community,” said George Mitchell, Eastern Division Manager of Natural Balance Pet Foods. “We are looking forward to bringing our resources to Saluda County and working closely with the citizens of South Carolina.”
