Black Hills Machine and Manufacturing is open for business. The California-based company, Miller Machine, Inc., expanded its California-based company to Spearfish, S.D. The company celebrated the opening on Thursday, Feb. 1, with a ribbon cutting at its facility located at 3217 W. Fairground Loop.
Black Hills Machine and Manufacturing will provide precision services within the areas of computerized numerical control milling and turning. In addition to providing custom machining services, the company specializes in manufacturing various components for the fly fishing, construction, medical, aerospace and semi-conductor industries.
Black Hills Machine and Manufacturing used $201,330 from the state’s Revolving Economic Development & Initiative (REDI) Fund for new computerized numerical control equipment (CNC). CNC machines represent a high tech approach to manufacturing that uses a computer controller to operate the machine.
“We are excited at the potential for growth in Spearfish and have appreciated the warm welcome we have already received,” said Jeff Dickinson CFO and Managing Member of Black Hills Machine and Manufacturing, LLC.
