Air Logistics, a Bristow Co., recently announced that it is expanding its facility at the Acadiana Regional Airport in New Iberia, La. The new 'Ken Jones Administration Building,' will be a two-story, 27,068 square foot facility.
The new facility represents an additional $4.5 million dollar investment in Air Logistics' Acadiana Regional Airport campus and is scheduled for completion in October of 2007. Groundbreaking for facility located at 4605 Industrial Drive at Acadiana Regional Airport in New Iberia was held in late January.
"Phase III of our construction, the 'Ken Jones Administration Building,' is symbolic of three things for Air Logistics. First, it represents our growth and prosperity as a successful company; second, it is a symbol of our continued commitment to our customers and local community; and finally --but most importantly -- it represents the reality of a vision one of our original founders had from the beginning," said Michael Suldo, President and CEO of Air Logistics.
Air Logistics' considerable investment in its Acadiana Regional facility was facilitated by a grant from the State of Louisiana. IDF and the Iberia Parish Airport Authority worked closely with Gov. Kathleen Babineaux Blanco and Louisiana Economic Development on the endeavor.
The company was offered a $946,250 infrastructure incentive package through the Louisiana Economic Development Award Program.
This third phase of expansion at the Acadiana Regional Airport will allow Air Logistics to relocate the offices of its Finance Department, currently in Lafayette, with the other administrative departments currently at the Acadiana Regional Airport. A new state-of-the-art Flight Following Center will also be located in the new building. Using satellite and radio communications, the Center will have the ability to track any suitably equipped Bristow aircraft worldwide, although primarily focusing on the Gulf of Mexico area.
