M&S Precision Machining, a leading supplier of machined brass and steel components (including machined forgings and castings) to the consumer, automotive, off-road and electronics industries, has entered into a financial agreement to purchase a 70,000 square foot manufacturing/warehouse/office facility and grounds in Greensburg, Ind. The company will move into the facility within the next 60-90 days.
For several months M&S will share separate space in the same facility with the current owner until their relocation. M&S will be sole owner of the facility after closing which is expected to take place within the next 30 days.
The facility is divided to allow for secure operations for both manufacturing and warehousing and secure raw material storage. The entire property is completely fenced and enclosed with security gates. There are also front and back docks to allow separate logistical operations for shipping and receiving. Rooms with expansion capabilities for Quality & Engineering Labs also are already in place.
There is a separate 5,000 sq. ft. storage building which currently is open on one side and will be closed in with overhead doors for material storage. We will start construction of additional office space this summer. There will be some door and access upgrades started within 60 days. Our IT System will be upgraded and the phone and security system will be new.
M&S will be approaching the city of Greensburg soon to request abatements for this expansion and the proposed manufacturing equipment purchases. M&S is also requesting assistance through the state of Indiana for grants from the Skills Enhancement Fund and The Hoosier Business Investment Tax Credit Program.
