EnterpriseDB recently announced that it has expanded its Asia Pacific operations with the establishment of a regional headquarters in Hong Kong.
During the past three years, the company’s staff, including its Asia Pacific presence, has steadily grown. Today, there are more than 90 EnterpriseDB employees in the Asia Pacific region, and the company has more than 130 employees worldwide.
The company has raised more than $28.5 million (U.S.) from leading venture capitalists, including Charles River Ventures, Fidelity Ventures, Sony Online Entertainment and Valhalla Partners.
"During the last two years, enterprises in the Asia Pacific region, especially in Japan, China, India and South Korea, have increasingly deployed open source software, and that trend is expected to continue," said Roger Durn, who will head the office in Hong Kong.
