Kellogg Co. recently announced that it will invest $35.5 million dollars in its Rome, Ga., manufacturing plant. Kellogg currently employs more than 600 people in its Rome plant, which is one of the world's leading producers of Rice Krispie Treats and other snacks.
Along with the investment in its facility, Kellogg will add to its own financial support of the community. Despite holding a Fee-in-Lieu-of-Taxes incentive, which helps offset an employer's property tax, with the Rome-Floyd County Development Authority, Kellogg will voluntarily pay taxes used for educational benefits.
