HMC Enterprises Inc. will receive a $1.7 million incentive package that includes a $1.1 million loan through the Pennsylvania Industrial Development Authority (PIDA), a $440,000 loan through the Machinery and Equipment Loan Fund (MELF), a $100,000 grant through the Opportunity Grant Program, and $67,000 in Job Creation Tax Credits.
HMC Enterprises manufactures commercial refrigeration products and specializes in deli cases. The company was founded as a limited liability company in December 2003.
Besides creating new jobs, HMC Enterprises will retain 49 existing positions when it expands its existing custom refrigeration manufacturing operation through the purchase of a 100,000 square foot building. It also plans to buy new equipment. The company, which currently leases an 81,000 square foot building, expects to move into its new facility within the year.
The Philadelphia Industrial Development Corp. worked with HMC Enterprises and the Governor’s Action Team on the expansion project.
