Crucell, N.V., a Dutch biotechnology company, will concentrate its research and development activities at its headquarters here.
The suspension of Aerugen, the vaccine candidate for the prevention of infection in cystic fibrosis patients, in July has resulted in a decrease in projects requiring development support at Bern, Switzerland.
The restructuring is being made to increase efficiency in R&D spending and will result in a reduction in the number of staff employed, mainly in Bern, according to the company.
Vaccine manufacturing, regulatory activities, clinical development and vaccine marketing will be concentrated at Crucell’s operations in Bern.
Crucell is a biotechnology company focused on research, development and worldwide marketing of vaccines and antibodies that prevent and treat infectious diseases.
