Uline, Inc. will receive $375,000 in Technology Zone tax credits for an expansion project in Pleasant Prairie that will create 75 jobs and generate $2.1 million in investment.
Uline is in the Southeast Tri-County Technology Zone, which is comprised of Racine, Walworth and Kenosha counties. ULINE is a leading distributor of shipping, industrial and packing materials to businesses throughout the United States. The company is leasing a 301,650 square foot building in Pleasant Prairie for use as a distribution center, with plans to expand it to more than 602,000 square feet.
The Pleasant Prairie location will be the seventh same-day shipping center operated by the company, joining centers in Waukegan, Ill.,Eagan, Minn., Lake Forest, Calif., Breinigsville, Pa., Duluth, Ga., and Coppell, Texas. Uline also has a satellite location in Tijuana, Mexico.
The new distribution center is expected to be in operation before the end of 2006.
