Koll Development Co., one of America’s leading commercial real estate firms, has broken ground on a new 315,000 square foot manufacturing and distribution center in Ennis, Texas, for National Envelope Corp., the world’s largest envelope company.
“The new built-to-suit facility will allow National Envelope to consolidate two existing facilities and increase their overall operational efficiencies,” said Mark Cashman, senior vice president of KDC.
Based in Uniondale, N.Y., National Envelope’s new manufacturing center in Ennis will combine its current Corsicana and Grand Prairie, Texas, locations into one facility located on a 29.4-acre site in the Ennis Industrial Park.
“We selected Ennis as the location for our new facility based on opportunities presented by the city of Ennis, Ellis County, and the state of Texas which will allow us to continue to attract the best and brightest employees to service our customers in the region,” said Nathan F. Moser, CEO of National Envelope Corporation. “KDC was a natural choice for the project based on their portfolio of build-to-suit development and reputation for completing projects on-time and on budget.”
Upon completion, National Envelope’s new facility will employ approximately 300 employees and will be constructed at 32-foot clear height with structural tiltwall panels and a contemporary painted exterior finish. Completion is expected in May 2007.
