A. Schulman Invision recently announced plans to construct a 100,000 square foot facility in Findlay, Ohio, to manufacture a compound and resin finish for automobiles, trucks and recreational vehicles. The facility will be located on 49.5 acres of land in the City of Findlay.
Hancock County has been awarded a $405,000 grant to assist A. Schulman Invision in making infrastructure improvements to accommodate its new manufacturing facility. The funds will be awarded through the Ohio Small Cities Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Economic Development Program, which is administered by the Ohio Department of Development. The $53.7 million project will create 43 jobs.
The CDBG funds will be used to construct a rail spur, relocate and install 17,650 linear feet of water and sewer lines and install 2,405 linear feet of flood and drainage infrastructure.
The CDBG Economic Development Program provides funding for economic development projects that create and/or retain permanent, private-sector job opportunities. The grants enable local governments to provide public improvements directly related to business development and financial assistance to private entities for economic development projects.
Jobs created through this program must benefit primarily low- and moderate-income Ohioans.
