DC Sports to Relocate Headquarters and Distribution Center to Mechanicsville, New York

MECHANICVILLE, N.Y. (October 5, 2006) — The company is eligible to apply to Empire State Development for a Capital Grant to be used as reimbursement for a portion of eligible expenses associated with the acquisition/renovation and purchase/installation of machinery and equipment.

DC Sports, a manufacturer of screen print/embroidered athletic apparel, plans to invest over $900,000 to acquire, develop and equip a 25,000 square foot facility in Mechanicville, N.Y., when it relocates its headquarters and distribution operation from New Jersey to Saratoga County, N.Y. The project is expected to create 57 new jobs within three years.

D.C Sports manufactures screen print/embroidered athletic apparel and is located in Upper Saddle River, New Jersey.

“DC Sports is excited about moving to Saratoga County,” said Bob Brown, owner of DC Sports. “ The business climate, labor pool and proximity to the tri-state area make it an ideal location for our business.”

In consideration of its commitment to New York State, DCSports is eligible to apply to Empire State Development for a Capital Grant to be used as reimbursement for a portion of eligible expenses associated with the acquisition/renovation and purchase/installation of machinery and equipment.
