Mathews Inc. owners Sherry and Mathew McPherson, who joined the Governor for the announcement, discussed plans for the $5 million project to update their facility, expand manufacturing operations and hire additional personnel.
"This tax credit will allow us to expand more quickly, hire more people and contribute to the long-term success of the Sparta operation," says Martin Baird, Director of Finance for Mathews Inc.
Established in 1992, Mathews Inc. is a leading manufacturer of innovative, high-quality archery products ranging from traditional style bows to high-performance compound bows, strings, accessories and custom apparel. The company currently holds 20 U.S. patents on various archery equipment.
