Quintiles Transnational Corp., a pharmaceutical services provider, will open a data processing center in Williamston, N.C., in Martin County. The new facility will employ 60 people and involves a capital investment of $400,000 over the next three years. The state of North Carolina has approved a $120,000 One North Carolina Fund grant.
Quintiles Transnational Corp., which employs more than 1,100 people at its headquarters in Research Triangle Park, will open a data processing center for clinical trials in Williamston. While wages will vary by job function, the expected average weekly wage of the new jobs is $576 plus benefits, which is higher than the Martin County average weekly wage of $508.

While we have operations in more than 50 countries worldwide, Williamston offers the right match of people and technology to expand our data processing services in line with customer demand.”
The One North Carolina Fund assists the state in industry recruitment and expansion by providing financial assistance through local governments to attract business projects that will stimulate economic activity and create new jobs in the state.
