Weatherford, Texas-based Heritage Plastics, a leading manufacturer of electrical conduit, utility duct and fittings for power, cable, internet, telephone data and voice transmission lines, recently announced its plans to expand its operations with the addition of a new division, Heritage Plastics–West, in Milford, Utah.
This will be Heritage Plastics first plant in the western United States and will serve seven Western states (Arizona, California, Idaho, Nevada, Oregon, Utah and Washington) and Hawaii.
“Heritage Plastics is the fastest growing conduit manufacturer in the country and today’s announcement demonstrates Heritage Plastics commitment to the expansion of capacity to support the rapid growth of our customer base, as well as anticipated growth in the region,” said Bill Raffaele, president of Heritage Plastics-Central.
The 50,000 square foot facility, built on 13 acres in the city’s industrial park, will include six extrusion lines and two fabrication machines for electrical sweeps. Groundbreaking on the site will take place in August, with operation slated to begin in the first quarter of 2007.
The plant will initially bring approximately 25 new jobs to the area. Heritage Plastics plans to add two additional extrusion lines within the first year, increasing the need for more employees.
