In a move to expand upon its market presence in China, Geomagic, a worldwide software and services firm based here, has opened a wholly owned subsidiary in Shanghai.
Geomagic (Shanghai) Software Co. has been formed as a result of the increasing demand for Geomagic software in the Chinese manufacturing market, according to the company. Previously, the company had a branch office to service its customer base.
“China is an evolving market, especially in the areas of design and testing,” said Jerry Zhou, deputy general manager for Geomagic (Shanghai) Software. “We believe Geomagic solutions will contribute to China’s developing economy by offering fast and cost-effective engineering and inspection solutions to a growing customer base.”
The new Geomagic subsidiary will provide sales, training and support to customers throughout the region. Development and software testing are also performed in China. As part of its commitment to the Chinese market, all Geomagic software products, including Studio and Qualify, are available in Chinese language.
Geomagic (Shanghai) Software is located in the new economic development zone in the heart of the city, within 5 miles from the domestic Shanghai airport.
