Agilis Group, a U. S. company based in Palm Beach, Calif., will begin operations in Costa by the end of the year.
This company provides engineering services and will design gas turbines in Costa Rica for the aeronautical industry in the United States.
To do so, the company has already initiated the hiring process of mechanical engineers from the University of Costa Rica.
The company will be located at the Ultra Park Free Zone in Heredia, and it decided to initiate operations in Costa Rica because of its competitive costs and the quality of its human capital, as well as the geographic location of the country.
“The idea is to grow with Costa Rican manpower, as the firm was also attracted by the salaries paid to engineers in Costa Rica, which are much more reasonable than those paid in the United States, although they continue to be competitive in the local market,” said Leticia Mason, human resources manager for Agilis.
