Marine Travelift, Inc. has received Technology Zone tax credits allocation totaling $250,000 for a project that will retain 157 jobs and create 50 jobs over the next two years.
Marine Travelift, Inc. is an industry leader in the manufacture of large, mobile boat hoists that are used in marinas, shipyards, fishing ports and naval installations. The company's ExacTech, Inc. division will make a $3.8 million capital investment to develop a new product line of ultra-high capacity boat lifts that will be able to lift and safely move vessels up to 500 feet in length and weighing up to 4,000 tons. This will be the first product of its kind in the industry.
"This will allow us to invest in ExacTech and Marine Travelift infrastructure to provide a competitive manufacturing climate that is world-class, in addition to generating high quality jobs" says Stephan Pfeifer, president and CEO of Marine Travelift, Inc./ExacTech.
