PaperPak Products to Expand its Manufacturing Facility in Greenville, North Carolina

GREENVILLE, N.C. (July 24, 2006) — The company will expand operations in Greenville, and eventually relocate its California-based corporate headquarters to the North Carolina facility.

PaperPak Products Inc. will expand operations in Pitt County, creating 100 new jobs and investing $9.7 million over the next three years. The company is eligible for a $200,000 One North Carolina Fund grant.

PaperPak Products Inc., a leading manufacturer of adult disposable incontinence products, currently has 235 employees at its manufacturing facilities in Greenville. The company will expand operations in Greenville, and eventually relocate its California-based corporate headquarters to the North Carolina facility.

While wages will vary by job function, the expected average annual salary of the new jobs is $48,000 plus benefits, which is higher than the Pitt County average annual salary of $26,520 not including benefits.

"Greenville was selected as our North American headquarters because of the availability of highly skilled people required to run our business, the dedication and contributions of current employees, and the support and interest offered by the local community," said company CEO Michael Fagan.

The One North Carolina Fund assists the state in industry recruitment and expansion by providing financial assistance through local governments to attract business projects that will stimulate economic activity and create new jobs in the state. One North Carolina Fund grants require and are contingent upon a local match.
