Hansen Transmissions Expands Facilities in Belgium

Hansen Transmissions will create 250 jobs during the next four years as the company invests 130 million euro to expand its facilities in Lommel, Belgium.

Hansen Transmissions supplies drive solutions for a variety of applications, such as bucket elevators, car crushers, conveyor systems, paper mills, industrial mixers and pulpers. Hansen also delivers gear units for water treatment systems such as aerator drives, screw pump drives and brush aerator drives.

For many years, Hansen is also an experienced and renown partner in renewable energies, particularly as a supplier to the wind power generating industry. Hansen manufactures gear units that match the wind turbine generator.

Hansen Transmissions was established in 1923 in Belgium, today still the location of its headquarters. Its main production sites are in Edegem and Lommel.

Hansen employs 1,200 staff worldwide in its assembly and service centers in Great Britain, the United States, South Africa and Australia, as well as in its sales offices in Europe, Brazil, China and Japan.
